This large helicopter intended for the role of naval minesweeping is used by some selected departments of the American and Japanese navy. The Sea Dragon is an enhanced three-engine version of the twin-engine CH-53 born in the sixties and extensively used by the Marines and in the special rescued by the US Air Force. Thanks to the great power supplied by the engines, this aircraft has a large load and lifting capacity that allow it to tow the heavy anti-mine systems mounted on a special hydrofoil lowered into the sea by the same helicopter.
