The XB-70 Valkyrie was one of the most extraordinary aircraft ever built — a Mach 3 strategic bomber prototype designed to fly so high and so fast that no Soviet interceptor could touch it. With its distinctive canard delta configuration, six General Electric YJ93 engines, and wingtips that folded down in flight for stability, the Valkyrie looked like something from science fiction. Only two were ever built, and one survives today at the National Museum of the United States Air Force. Italeri's 1/72 kit is one of the definitive large-scale renditions of this legendary aircraft.
