The American Battleship New Jersey served with distinction from WWII until the Lebanese Civil War. Over that nearly sixty-year history, New Jersey underwent numerous refits. In 1982, several of the ship's anti-aircraft turrets were replaced with missile batteries for destroying both land and sea targets. No matter where it went or when, the New Jersey's mission was always the same and is enshrined in its motto: Firepower For Freedom. This kit features photo-etched parts, metal gun barrels, wooden decking, 1982 armament, missile launchers and guns, Sikorsky SH-60B Sea Hawk helicopters, and decals.
